Vice President Jane Ansah has announced that she will meet citizens in Mangochi today to express gratitude for their support of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
In a post on her Facebook page, Ansah addressed Malawians, calling them “A Malawi anzanga” and acknowledging their role in voting for the DPP in recent elections.
She stated that the meeting would include leaders from both the DPP and the Alliance for Democracy (AFORD).
The Vice President emphasized that the purpose of the gathering is to personally thank the people for their decision at the polls.
Ansah invited residents to join the meeting at St. Augustine 2 Primary School ground in Mangochi at 1:00 pm.
She noted that she and her colleagues will use the forum to outline the government’s key policies and initiatives being implemented under the leadership of President Mutharika.
The Vice President described the meeting as an opportunity to engage directly with citizens and communicate the government’s plans to advance national development.
She encouraged Malawians to attend and participate in the discussions, stressing the importance of transparency and dialogue between government officials and the electorate.
The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts by the DPP government to reinforce public awareness of its programmes and policies across the country.
Vice President Ansah’s outreach in Mangochi highlights the administration’s commitment to maintaining strong connections with voters and ensuring that citizens are informed about national initiatives.
