Manchester United produced a commanding performance on Monday night, thrashing Wolves 4–1 in an English Premier League clash at Molineux Stadium.
The Red Devils dominated from the outset, demonstrating precision and cohesion, while Wolves struggled to find their rhythm. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 25th minute, giving United an early lead. Wolves, however, fought back just before halftime through Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (45+2’), leveling the score 1–1.
The second half belonged entirely to United. Bryan Mbeumo restored the lead in the 51st minute, followed by Mason Mount’s goal in the 62nd minute. Fernandes added a penalty in the 82nd minute to seal the emphatic 4–1 victory.
The result leaves Wolves rooted at the bottom, with just 2 points from their opening fixtures, extending their winless streak in the league to 15 matches. Meanwhile, United move up to 6th place and remain in close contention for a top-four finish, just one point behind fourth-placed Crystal Palace.
Manager Erik ten Hag praised his team’s intensity and focus, highlighting their resilience in breaking down a stubborn Wolves defense. “This was a complete team performance,” Ten Hag said. “We showed determination and quality, and it’s a crucial win as we push for the top four.”
With momentum on their side, Manchester United will look to continue their charge up the Premier League table in upcoming fixtures.
