“Katuli Road is no longer just inconvenient—it is dangerous. Vehicles struggle to pass, and residents face delays in accessing schools, markets, and health facilities,” Katunga said. “We appeal to our MP to prioritize this project and ensure our mobility challenges are addressed without further delay.”

Community members warned that failure to repair the road could lead to increased accidents, damage to vehicles, and stunted economic activity in the area. For many, the road’s current state is a stark reminder of years of neglect, prompting calls for accountability and swift action from local leadership.

The residents’ plea comes at a time when road infrastructure is crucial for boosting trade and connecting rural communities to essential services. Katunga emphasized that immediate intervention would not only save lives but also reinvigorate economic activity and restore faith in leadership.
