Ugandans opposition candidate Kyagulanyi Sentamu Robert also known as Bobi Wine, has called upon fellow Ugandans to reject the FAKE results declaring incumbent President General Yoweri Museveni the winner of the 15th January, 2026 presidential elections.
Bobi Wine has also called upon the Ugandans to non- violently protest and reject any effort subverting their voice so that the rightful results are announced demanding the internet to be restored for the people to see for themselves results coming from the districts
.
Speaking from an unknown destination where he is hiding, Bobi Wine said he and his wife have been under house arrest since 15th January, 2026 election date saying yesterday, police officers together with unknown individuals in plain clothes used ladders climbed over their fence to get rid of him.
Bobi Wine said some police officers cut off electricity, CCTV cameras were switched off assisted by a helicopter which was hovering in the sky providing them with light to do whatever they had planned to do on the day if they catch him.
“I was able to use my skills and escape, I don’t know what the police officers could have done if I was found in the house,” he said.
He has claimed that all of their agents were arrested and the internet was cut off with the purpose of rigging the elections saying the results which are being announced declaring President Yoweri Museveni the winner, are FAKE and not reflecting the truth from the polling centres and results sheets.
The opposition leader said he was glad that there are wide- spread protests in Uganda rejecting the results of the elections demanding tally sheets to be uploaded on the internet for the people to follow the results in the spirit of transparency.
However, Bobi Wine has called upon the media in Uganda noting with deep concern that they have deliberately chosen not reporting what is happening in Uganda claiming that people are being shot dead by police using live bullets.
A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, said Malawians could have seen what the Ugandans are seeing today if God did not enter the heart of High Court Judge Chimbizgani Kacheche to rule out smartmatic machine results for manual counting of votes.
Kamphangala said the shut- down of internet in Uganda is clearly speaking for itself that the government of Uganda has rigged the elections claiming that there was news in circulation in Malawi that internet services to be not available on the election date, this was MCP rigging scheme.
He said in Uganda, there will be no way the opposition parties could win the elections saying this would happen after Museveni has died, but as long as General Museveni is alive, opposition parties in Uganda must forget winning elections .
