A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has pleaded with President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to invite courageous activists and journalists who sacrificed their lives to die in a quest for his bouncing back into government on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Kamphangala said these courageous activists and journalists could have by this January, 2026 been chopped off of their heads had the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera won the 16th September, 2025 elections.
He said by the grace of God, these courageous activists and journalists have been spared for their lives and are walking freely in town doing their businesses as usual as compared to yesterday, when their lives were being monitored by MCP panga wielding thugs.
The MCP diehard said activists such as Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, Comrades Bon Kalindo, Lytone Mangochi, Pastor Moses Shumba, Bishop Kachenje, Ntanyiwa, and Bakili Muluzi TV joined by journalists Burnett Munthali, Suleman Chitera, and Jones Gadama, did a commendable job to change the mindset of Malawians for no vote to President Chakwera and his MCP led government.
He said it is heartbreaking listening from Bon Kalindo, Ntanyiwa, Bakili Muluzi TV and Hon. Kamlepo Kalua complaining that President Professor Mutharika has completely forgotten the role they took to die for the liberation of Malawi from the shackles of MCP and President Chakwera’s dictatorial leadership.
Kamphangala said DPP Vice President for the Centre Alfred Gangata was the first to complain that people who did not fought for the DPP to come back to power are the ones eating sausages unlike those who fought for Professor Mutharika describing this as a worrisome development troubling his heart.
He said Gangata assured the DPP that he will send his youth battalion to go into offices to remove those that have found their way into offices but they did not fight for the DPP but to this day, Gangata has remained silent and that silence can best be explained by himself.
The MCP diehard said Comrade Bon Kalindo complained that some women who were being seen in the forefront insulting and castigating Professor Mutharika because of his old age, have made their way to the State House.
“I am pleading with President Professor Mutharika to listen to the cries of these courageous activists and journalists, they are not demanding for money, positions in government or favors, but they are for recognition by the president,” said Kamphangala.
He said he suspect that there are some people surrounding President Professor Mutharika who are telling him not to meet these courageous activists and journalists on the claims that DPP has a large following in Malawi.
Kamphangala has finally assured President Professor Mutharika that having used and dumped these courageous activists and journalists, is suicidal to the 2030 elections, saying they are useless today because DPP is in government but tomorrow, they will join forces to remove the DPP out of government.
