ActionAid in Balaka has reinforced its commitment to improving Early Childhood Development (ECD) by conducting a comprehensive training session for caregivers from CCYCDO Khwisa Centre.

The training aimed at strengthening the caregivers’ knowledge and skills in delivering quality early learning services to children. Participants were equipped with practical skills in ECD training methodologies, ECD data management, children registration processes, and the implementation of ECD syllabus guidelines, among other key areas.

To further enhance service delivery at the centre, ActionAid donated assorted items including tablets and solar panels. The donated equipment is expected to improve data collection, reporting efficiency, and ensure reliable access to power, thereby creating a more conducive learning and administrative environment.
Speaking during the session, facilitators emphasized the importance of proper data management and structured early learning systems in promoting children’s growth and development. The caregivers expressed gratitude for both the skills gained and the materials received, noting that the support will significantly improve their daily operations and the quality of care provided to children.
The initiative reflects ActionAid’s continued dedication to empowering communities and strengthening early childhood education systems in Balaka. Chisa Children, Youth and Community Development Organization continues to make progress in providing early child eduction in rural areas of Balaka, Chiradzulu and Chikwawa.
