Off-loading of AIP Urea fertilizer is indefinitely suspended in Kasungu district as seven bags are suspected stolen.
Our visit to Smallholder Farmer Fertiliser Revolving Fund of Malawi-SFFRFM in the district on Wednesday found misunderstandings between farmers and the company’s officials.
Some people we spoke to said the SFFRFM officials told them the services had been suspended pending investigations on the suspected stolen bags.
The farmers, who had been waiting to purchase the farm inputs, returned home empty handed. But the SFFRFM officials declined to comment on the matter.
