People’s Development Party (PDP) President His Excellency Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa has today handed over a cow to Paramount Chief Kaduya at her residence in Phalombe district.

This is in fulfilment of a pledge that Dr. Nankhumwa made to the Paramount Chief on Sunday during this year’s Mulhako wa Alhomwe Cultural festival at Chonde in Mulanje district.

PDP’s Director of Logistics Hon. Christian Piyo handed over of the cow in Phalombe on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 on behalf of Dr. Nankhumwa.

In her remarks after receiving the gift, Paramount Kaduya did not hide her excitement.

“I am very thankful to Hon. Dr Nankhumwa who, today has fufilled what he promised me on Sunday. This is a very memorable gift that in the long run, will help alleviate poverty amongst my subjects” she said.

This year’s Mulhako wa Alhomwe was held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 under the theme ‘United for a Common Purpose’
