Journalists Told To Write Stories To Promote Good Governance

The Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) has called on community journalists in Ntchisi district to write stories that will encourage citizen participation and support good governance in their communities.

MHRRC Capacity Development Associate Noel Msiska made these remarks during a training session for community journalists in Ntchisi district,

Msiska emphasized the importance of community journalists in creating demand for improved service delivery and addressing issues within their communities.

One of the participants, Laston Kapatamoyo expressed gratitude for the training session, noting that it will help them promote community participation in Ntchisi district.

MHRRC is currently implementing a project titled Enhancing Citizen Participation in Local Governance and Development processes in Dowa, Nsanje, and Ntchisi districts with funding from Norwegian Church Aid and Dan Church Aid NCADCA.
