Political activist Bon Kalindo, has praised Musician Dr. Patience Namadingo for telling President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera that the SONA he delivered in Parliament on Friday 14th February, 2025 might be his last claiming that in 6 months to come, he may or may not be in office.

During the SONA for the youth held at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre, Dr. Namadingo told President Chakwera that if he stays, the youth might benefit from the engagement they had with him and if he loses, then the day was just another show.

Namadingo questioned Chakwera that why having the conversation now-in 4 years, he never invited the youth for such discussion, now with just 6 months left before elections, was this real engagement or just another political show?

He asked President Chakwera that if he is the one quoting the Holy Bible Luke 7;22 John the Baptist asked Jesus “are you the one or people should wait? Jesus did not explain, he showed proof asking Chakwera to show his proof instead of telling lies.

Kalindo said former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has proofs of tangible projects he implemented saying his works are speaking for him unlike President Chakwera who has nothing to prove saying he can only be proved by corruption and telling lies.

He has advised President Chakwera that if he wants justice on his performance, he should call JB in the USA, Dr. Namadingo, himself, Tamia Jabesi and Thandie Khumbanyiwa, other than listening from his ministers and advisors who have made him to present completed projects on paper while the projects are not existing on the ground.

The activist has claimed that President Chakwera has travelled through bad omen starting with the SKC Foundation launch, SONA in Parliament, SONA for youth in Lilongwe, Vendors demonstrations to the Parliament Building in Lilongwe and SONA for youth in Blantyre observing that in all these activities, there is one take home message, Malawians have no trust with Chakwera’s leadership.

“If I was President Chakwera or an advisor, I would have advised him to stop engaging the youth on the SONA, nothing will change from his lies but Malawians will change him on the 16th September, 2025 elections,” said Kalindo.

He has advised MCP youth who are terrorizing innocent people with pangas that there were others like them before but all have closed their eyes, gone to eternal peace reminding them that they are killing people today but tomorrow, them will die too.

Kalindo has pleaded with Leader of Opposition Dr. George Chaponda to do something over MCP youth who are being seen in the CCTV footage at the Parliament Building in Lilongwe deflating vehicle tyres for opposition MPs.

He said the act was displayed in the view of MDF and Police officers meaning that them in the opposition benches are not safe, Parliament is for the MCP and as such there is need to boycott and call for massive demonstrations across the country.
