Human Rights Advocator Sir Charles Ben Longwe, has expressed his deep concern over the MCP government shifting blame on the Indians and Chinese as the ones keeping forex in their shops and houses.
Ben Longwe said it is sad that the Indians after being loyal to the government of Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Professor Bingu wa Mutharika, Dr. Joyce Banda and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika can all of a sudden been hiding forex in their shops and houses.
He said when a carpenter is lazy he blames his hammer saying this is exactly what the MCP government is doing keeping forex in the houses of ministers and State House and shift the blame to the Indians recalling that the MCP government did the same to the relocation of refugees and asylum seekers to Dzaleka Camp in Dowa.
Speaking from his Hard Knocks University, Ben Longwe has asked the Indians who have valid documents that they have a constitutional mandate to hold demonstrations against the MCP government for abusing them, assuring them that patriotic Malawians will join and support them.
Longwe said the MCP government took the money from commercial banks to the Reserve Bank of Malawi for them to find it easy to collect the money through one of their own Dr. Wilson Banda, who was the Governor.
He has wondered as to where those trillions which the MCP government has borrowed from the World Bank and IMF resulting the country to have no forex observing that today a Minister in the Chakwera’s led government took forex from the Reserve Bank of Malawi to sell to the Indians and government is blaming the Indians for keeping forex.
The Advocator has claimed that it has never happened in the country that a minister selling forex to the Indians advising the RBM Governor and Minister of Finance to explain to Malawians on the shortage of forex and the reasons that led to that crisis.
He has warned Malawians that giving another 5 years to President Chakwera and the MCP is total destruction of the country claiming that President Chakwera is the only President in Africa who goes to the Capital Hill to work accompanied by his wife, family members and party loyalists.
Ben Longwe said Chakwera is the only President whose Parliament has seen vehicle tyres of opposition parliamentarians deflated and delivered the SONA and later on withdrawn it on the argument that he did not promise Malawians that he will be an angel.
He has asked Malawians to stand up that President Chakwera has withdrawn his lies from the SONA for the construction of police houses, classroom blocks, health centres and roads where is the money meant for those claimed completed projects on paper?
“President Chakwera must pay back the money that he stole from Malawians before 16th September, 2025 elections, money was involved if he has withdrawn his SONA statement,” said Ben Longwe.
He said the MCP has stolen a lot from Malawians urging Malawians to join hands to call for forensic audit on President Chakwera and his MCP saying it is not surprising that Malawi is the Paramount Chief of the 46 poorest countries on the Earth’s planet.
Ben Longwe has finally urged patriotic Malawians to rise up and go to the streets in eye brows to eyebrows confrontation with the devil as in line with the Holy Bible which says “resist the devil to free from ” assuring government that Malawians will not bow down to an iron fist staying at the State House.
