Blantyre, Malawi – Angela Muluzi, wife to United Democratic Front (UDF) president Atupele Muluzi, has expressed strong support for her husband’s leadership, saying his presidency would prioritize transparency, accountability, and the fight against corruption in Malawi.

Speaking at a well-attended campaign rally at Ngongomwa Primary School in Blantyre North East Constituency, Angela told supporters that Atupele Muluzi represents a fresh opportunity for Malawians to open a new chapter of hope, unity, and sustainable development.
“Malawi belongs to all of us. We must unite to end corruption and embrace change. The UDF is prepared to lead that transformation,” Angela Muluzi said, urging Malawians to rally behind her husband’s vision.
Atupele Muluzi’s Promise of Transparency and Development
Angela emphasized that an Atupele-led administration would ensure proper management of public resources, creating a strong foundation for national growth. She noted that the UDF manifesto is anchored on clean governance, job creation, youth empowerment, and women’s participation in leadership.
According to Angela, the fight against corruption will remain a top priority, as it is the biggest barrier to Malawi’s progress. She argued that under Atupele’s leadership, public accountability systems would be strengthened, ensuring that government resources benefit ordinary citizens.
Call for Women and Youth Participation
In her rallying message, Angela Muluzi also appealed to women and young people across Malawi to play an active role in shaping the country’s political future.
“The voice of women and youth must be heard. Together, we can build the Malawi we all dream of,” she said.
Her call resonates with the growing demand for inclusive governance in Malawi’s politics, where women and youth make up the majority of the population and voter base.
UDF in the 2025 Malawi Elections
With the 2025 Malawi presidential elections approaching, the UDF under Atupele Muluzi is positioning itself as a credible alternative to lead the country into a new era of integrity, economic stability, and national unity.
Political analysts note that Angela’s active involvement in the campaign could boost UDF’s appeal, particularly among women and young voters who are expected to play a decisive role in the polls.
