Blantyre giants Mighty Wanderers are back where they believe they belong — at the summit of Malawian football — after clinching the TNM Super League title with a match to spare.
The Nomads sealed the championship in emphatic fashion, dismantling Moyale Barracks 6–0 at Kamuzu Stadium, sending the green-and-white faithful into raptures and finally ending an eight-year league title drought.

Club president and principal sponsor Thomson Mpinganjira could not hide his delight, hailing the triumph as a reward for patience, belief and resilience.
“Well done to the boys! It’s a timely Christmas to the Nomads family,” said Mpinganjira.
“It has been a long time coming, and it has been won in grand style.”
Wanderers now sit proudly on 68 points from 29 matches, opening up an unassailable five-point gap over their traditional rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, who were held to a goalless draw by Mighty Tigers.
The title charge has been built on flair, discipline and ruthless efficiency — qualities that were on full display in the record-breaking win that confirmed the Nomads’ return to dominance.
The celebrations will reach their peak next weekend when Wanderers host Kamuzu Barracks in their final league fixture. On that day, the green-and-white will be officially crowned champions, marking the start of a new era and reaffirming their status as one of Malawi’s most storied football institutions.
For the Nomads family, the wait is over. The crown is back in Blantyre — and it fits perfectly.
