Ng’ombo made the remarks in Balaka during a football match between Mpulula Stars and Invisible Tigers, where UK-based Malawians donated football jerseys and boots to Mpulula Stars Football Club.
He said the lack of financial support is limiting the growth of football in the district, making it difficult for clubs to access essential equipment and participate competitively.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Stefan Mya Kambote said the donation was made to promote the development of home-grown football talent in Balaka and encourage young players to pursue the sport.
“We want to support grassroots football because this is where future stars are developed,” Kambote said.Silver Strikers Yagonjesa Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos
