Bakili Muluzi TV has claimed that president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has failed to release a report which was submitted to him on deaths of persons with albinism five years down the line in office but he is still blaming the DPP for killing them.
The TV station has asked President Chakwera and his MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda to stop blaming the DPP for the death of persons with albinism in Malawi claiming that the report was handed over to him.
He said President Chakwera has the police and Army in his hands wondering why he has spent 5 years in office without acting on the report of persons with albinism for the truth to prevail other than pointing fingers at the DPP for being behind killing them.
The activist has claimed that President Chakwera beside not releasing the report on persons with albinism, he failed to institute a trusted and credible commission of inquiry to investigate circumstances surrounding Dr. Saulosi Chilima’s death and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest on 10th June, 2024.
He said President Chakwera failed to release the report on the arrest of former Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Ms. Martha Chizuma saying today he wants to make himself as an angel shouldering all the blames to DPP for failing the country.
Bakili Muluzi TV said the commission of inquiry which was instituted by President Chakwera to investigate Dr. Chilima’s death said nothing on the black box with memories in Malawian hearts that Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu informed Malawians that the black box was kept safe.
He said days after the tragic plane crash on 10th June, 2024 Dr. Patricia Kaliati was arrested and was charged for the offence of treason that he was conniving with the late Dr. Chilima to kill President Chakwera with charms from Nigeria.
The activist said Chakwera’s commission of inquiry did not investigate Dr. Kaliati on her involvement with a Nigerian witchdoctor for charms as a key witness urging the UTM to continue pushing government for the truth to prevail on Dr. Chilima’s death other than blaming the dead for they can rose from the grave to testify in court.
“The death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima on the 10th June, 2024 is the same as that of the 18th May, 1983 where Dick Matenje, Aaron Gadama, Twaibu Sangala and David Chiwanga were tragically murdered and their bodies were dumped at Thambani in Mwanza district,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
He has appealed to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika that after winning government on the 16th September, 2025 elections, he should immediately institute transparent and credible commission of inquiries to investigate all the reports submitted to President Chakwera and has sat on them.
Bakili Muluzi TV has finally urged Malawians to choose good or bad on the 16th September, 2025 elections advising the citizens to set their eyes on Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the maize picture for the country to see light from darkness of the MCP.
