Fuel Scarcity Stalls Project In Chikhwawa

By Suleman Chitera Sep16,2022

Construction works at Shire Valley Transformation Project-SVTP in Chikwawa district have come to a standstill due to fuel scarcity.

Engineer responsible for the project, Martin Chizalema has revealed this during a tour in which Minister of Tourism and Culture, Michael Usi and Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Nancy Chaola Mdooko have today at the site.

Chizalema says themachines they use at the site depend on diesel fuel which is now scarce in the country.

He has however said authorities from SVTP are having talks with relevant authorities to curb the challenge.
