Activist Pastor Moses Shumba-the Lion of Judah, has claimed that courts in Malawi are independent and cannot be influenced in their decisions by party politics as per the wishes of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) that Norman Paulosi Chisale be jailed for 15 years or more.
The court has set 27th January, 2025 as Judgment day for Norman Chisale, and the MCP is expecting the day to be turn into their favors to see Norman Chisale be jailed as he is seeming to be a standing block covering Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
Pastor Shumba, an ordained Priest, has claimed that Norman Chisale has suffered arrests and rearrests under the MCP government contrary to MCP wishes that he should be prosecuted, jailed and rot in the country’s prisons, but God is sparing his life for a purpose.
Pastor Shumba said God is listening to the cries of his children in Egypt that were promised of a good Canaan but have not reached there except only a few who are connected to senior MCP officials that today are singing the popular song “Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka”.
Speaking through an audio clip, Pastor Shumba has referred Malawians to the Holy Bible of Exodus where God touched Moses hand that one day, Pharaoh will soften his heart to let the children of Israel go back to their country from Egypt where they were working as slaves.
Pastor Shumba has urged patriotic Malawians not to lose heart, God is with them, he is not sleeping and is very watchful that the Egyptians they are seeing today oppressing, abusing, threatening and intimidating them, they won’t see them anymore on 16th September,2025.
He said the contempt of court case against Mec and NRB going on in court is one such clear example that Malawi courts are independent, they don’t want rigging scheme by the MCP to steal the 2025 General Elections to go to their favor.
The activist said if Mec and NRB will not comply to the court’s directive to register all Malawians with or without national Identity Cards, the court has powers to order a stop of the September, 2025 elections until a transparent voter registration exercise takes centre stage.
“God cannot allow Malawians go to the polls already won by President Chakwera and his MCP, Malawians wants credible and transparent elections not Smartmatic machine,” said Pastor Shumba.
He said Malawians are strategizing themselves to go to court for Mec to provide assurance with documentation that they are not going to use Smartmatic machine, appealing to opposition parties to be united to oust the MCP from power in September, 2025.
Pastor Shumba has finally asked opposition parties DPP, UDF, AFORD, PP and UTM to open their doors for activists who are coming to them not for money but discussions to feature one candidate and let all support him to liberate the country from the shackles of MCP dictatorship.
And on a happy note, Pastor Shumba has welcomed back into the family of activism Sir Charles Ben Longwe and Frederick Billy Malata expressing hope that after siding with MCP for years, they have seen the path of light to join the suffering Malawians for light to conquer darkness.
