Watching The Nomads Was A Refreshing Experience – Mpinganjira

Mighty Wanderers’ President and Board Chairperson, Dr Thomson Frank Mpinganjira says going to the Stadium last Sunday to watch the Nomads play was a refreshing experience as he has been unable to do so in a long time.

Speaking to Wanderers Media after the 2-0 defeat which his side suffered at the hands of Silver Strikers in Lilongwe, Mpinganjira said despite the loss, watching the Lali Lubani Boys play was an exquisite occurrence. Said Mpinganjira, “I used to frequent the stadium to watch Wanderers when I was young. I am unable to do so now because of various commitments. When i had an opportunity last Sunday, i couldn’t hesitate but to jump at it and i must say it was so refreshing.”

The President added that he was not bitter with the result as it was one of those bad days in office. He was however of the view that the team needed to move on from the result and work hard in the upcoming games in order to produce desired results. “Well, the result was obviously not what we desired but we have to accept that there are such bad days in office, we need to focus and do better in the upcoming games” concluded the soft spoken business tycoon and philanthropist.

The Nomads tasted their first defeat of the season to the league leaders on Sunday at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe. The defeat leaves the Lali Lubani Boys lying fourth in the standings with twelve points, seven adrift if league leaders.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC travel to Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday to face Mzuzu City Hammers in their next fixture.
