Education authorities are set to construct over 10,000 low cost classrooms across the country towards addressed the escalating school dropout rates induced by shortage of space.
Presently the population of primary school learners in the country stands at over five million; a situation that is proving difficult for the authorities to provide adequate learning shelter for all of them.
While admitting that the expected new space will still not be enough for all learners, Education Minister, Agnes Nyalonje, is however hopeful that it will help minimise cases of dropouts.
