Prophetess Mary Bushiri has promised to build houses for elderly women in Mwendetsa Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Kabudula in Lilongwe.

The prophetess said the decision was made after she visited the village in January this year and saw the elderly women living in dilapidated houses.

She disclosed this today when she handed over a borehole to the village under the Shepherd Bushiri Foundation.She also donated assorted food items and blankets.

Group Village Head Mwendetsa commended the foundation for bringing clean water closer to them.

He said the borehole will benefit the village which has 14 elderly women who were previously struggling to access clean water as they were drawing water from a borehole too far from the village.

The borehole will serve 92 households in Mwendetsa Village and others from surrounding villages.
