Government is optimistic that raising the Constituency Development Fund from K40 m to K100 m will translate to meaningful development for all Malawians.

Minister responsible, Professor Blessings Chinsinga, says the CDF will compliment other funding windows at the council level to directly respond to the needs of the country.

Chinsinga adds that they are also working on a strategy that will change the approach on how government projects are implemented in the 2022/ 2023 financial year.

The Local Government Minister alongside chief government spokesperson, Gospel Kazako, are addressing the press in Lilongwe.
