
NONM To Call Nationwide Strike To Force Police To Release Mainje Suspected Insulting President Chakwera On Whatsapp
The National Organization of Nurses and Midwives in Malawi – NONM says beginning tomorrow will call for a nationwide strike if Police will not release one of their own, Chidawawa Mainje suspected of insulting President Lazarus Chakwera.
The suspect, Mainje is a male nurse at Ntcheu district hospital and police have charged him with cyber harassment.
Speaking to News Update NONM President, Shouts Simenza claims while they are following the matter with keen interest, demanded police to immediately release the nurse failure which, the body will call its members to stay away from work to show solidarity with Mainje
