Malawi is expecting to benefit from a multi-million dollar health program from the Global Fund.
This follows a discussion between the Foreign Affairs Minister Nancy Tembo and a mission from the Global Fund in the just ended week.
According to Tembo, the talks focused on how to raise funds for the fight against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
About 130 billion US dollars is required for programs aimed at strengthening health systems in more than 155 countries including Malawi.
The talks were also based on how Malawi will fit in the resource mobilisation equation.
This is coming as the country continues to face an acute shortage of essential drugs and equipment in public hospitals.
