National Registration Bureau (NRB) says it has returned the K800 million which was mistakenly remitted to its account by the treasury in 2020, Director of NRB Mphatso Sambo has confirmed to MBC.

He said, the incident happened in April 2020 when NRB requested the government for additional funding of K800 million for its activities but the bureau received K1.6 billion which was double the amount.

The development made the Public Appointments Committee (PAC) summon officials from NRB to appear before the committee for an explanation.
