Blantyre Pastors Association have pledged to support President Dr Lazarus Chakwera in his quest to develop the country.

The Blantyre Pastors Association made the declaration at their meeting with Malawi Congress Party (MCP) member and veteran politician, Brown Mpinganjira and Southern Region Committee members, at Motel Paradise in the city.

In welcoming the group, Mpinganjira said pastors are a crucial component in the development of the country, hence the need to join forces with MCP and the government in fulfilling the needs of Malawians.

Rastafarians, sheikhs and pastors are among those who attended the meeting.

Blantyre Pastors Association has over 3,000 members.
