The Democratic Progressive Party DPP has endorsed the 28-29 October planned citizens demonstration.
According to a statement from the party signed by its administrative Secretary Francis Mphepo, the party is in full support of the demonstrations and is calling all Malawians to join the demonstration slated for 28-29 October in Blantyre,Zomba,Mzuzu and Lilongwe, which have been organised by one Joshua Chisa Mbele and colleagues from Citizens Against Impunity and Corruption.

The statement further asked the Tonse government to provide necessary security to people and property during the demonstrations and has warned government not to frustrate and tamper direct or indirect with the demons saying it is people’s right to demonstrate.
