Airtel Malawi has adjusted upwards prices of its MoFaya data, voice and SMS bundles.
Prices of MoFaya and voice bundles have been raised by 20 percent, while the price of SMS bundles has been raised by 26 percent.
The company has phased out the SMS bonus.
For example, a consumer will part ways with K12,000 for a 27.5GB MoFaya data bundle from K9,999.
A statement from the public listed company indicates that the increase will be effected on November 9, 2022.
The company has attributed the development to the rising cost of doing business on the back of a 25 percent devaluation of the kwacha in May and rising energy costs.
