First group of Flames players have left Lilongwe for Blantyre where they will connect to Ethiopia enroute to Mali for their second encounter of 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Burkina Faso.

The Flames will travel in two phases and they will spent a night in Addis Ababa before connecting to East Africa’s Mali tomorrow.

Malawi lost to Burundi 3-2 in a opening match of group L at Bingu National stadium yesterday

The match between the two will be on Tuesday September 10 in the Capital Bamako in Mali.
