The President finds no pleasure in people’s frustrations-Kazako
It’s now survival of the fittest for Malawians as energy authorities confess the current fuel crisis will still be here until Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority-MERA Chief Executive Officer Henry Kachaje disclosed the painful reality during the Government Face The Press in Lilongwe on Saturday.
He has since pleaded with Malawians to use the available fuel wisely.
Kachaje added so far they have managed to get forex from various companies for the purchase of fuel; admitting the acquired forex isn’t enough.
Taking his turn, government spokesperson Gospel Kazako conceded the fuel situation is indeed a matter of concern; claiming President Lazarus Chakwera doesn’t find pleasure in people’s frustrations.
Meanwhile, Energy Minister, Ibrahim Matola said the current situation is not as bad as that of 2012 when the country had no strategic fuel reserves.
