Phase one of the construction of a rail line from the Mozambique-Malawi border to Marka Train Station in Malawi will end in June this year.
Dan Simbi Site Supervisor for a Construction Company China Railway 20 (CR20) says that work on the 1-kilometre stretch that commenced in January this year is at an advanced stage.

He adds that the first train with strategic cargo from Mozambique Beira to Marka in Malawi is expected to dock by early July soon after the work on the stretch is done.
