Flames take on Mambas of Mozambique this morning in an international friendly encounter at Zimpeto Stadium in Maputo ahead of the next Tuesday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Ethiopia on the same venue.
Interim Coach, Patrick Mabedi has trusted more youthful players having dropped some senior regulars including Gabadinho Mhango, Khuda Muyaba, Gerald Phiri junior and Francis Madinga among others.
Previously, the two sides had a barren draw in the second leg of the Nations of African Championship-CHAN.
This is Mabedi’s first official match in charge of the team after taking over from Mario Marinica. His contract runs up to September this year.
