Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the Southern Region, Dr. George Chaponda, met delegates in the region today ahead of the party’s convention, slated for August 17-18 this year.
Dr. Chaponda, who is also leader of opposition parties in parliament has told the delegates that he deserves to continue serving in the post because he has been loyal to the party since its inception.

Bertha Nachuma, advisor to the DPP President has called on the delegates to choose Chaponda as he has the ability to unite the party.
DPP’s Director of Operations, Charles Mchacha was in attendance.
