FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Acknowledge Scoring Struggles Despite Recent Wins

By Burnett Munthali

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has admitted to ongoing challenges in their attack, despite their ability to secure goals in recent matches. The team acknowledges the need to improve their overall performance, especially with respect to certain internal issues affecting the players.

This was revealed by assistant coach Heston Munthali following their 3-2 victory against Creck Sporting at Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday. While Bullets celebrated the win, Munthali pointed out that the team still has some weak areas, particularly in converting chances to goals, and is working hard to address these issues behind the scenes.

“We are winning, but there are still struggles in finishing chances and maintaining consistency in attack. We are working to fix all internal matters that may be affecting the players,” said Munthali.

However, the match was not without controversy. Creck Sporting’s coach, MacDonald Mtetemera, raised concerns about the refereeing, alleging that biased officiating contributed to their defeat. He specifically pointed to the two goals scored by Bullets, claiming that some decisions were skewed in favor of the defending champions to avoid a loss.

In other matches, Kamuzu Barracks secured a 2-0 win over Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos, and MAFCO also defeated Mighty Tigers with a 2-0 scoreline, thanks to Peter Kasonga’s goals. Meanwhile, Bangwe All Stars woke from their recent slumber, thrashing Baka City with a 3-0 victory.

The TNM Super League action will continue over the weekend as teams look to improve their standings and maintain their form.
