Mob Violence Claims Four Lives in Nsanje

A vicious mob attack in Nsanje has left four people dead.

Two suspects, Harold Mwaiwao (27) from Mulanje and Ziggy Nasangwe from Phalombe, died this morning from injuries sustained during the attack. They were among suspects accused of raiding a businessman’s property in Sorgin.

The two other suspects were burned to death by the angry mob. Police rescued Mwaiwao and Nasangwe but unfortunately, they have succumbed to their burns.

Nsanje police spokesperson, Sub-inspector Agness Zalakoma, confirmed the deaths and stated that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects, who fled in a Toyota Land Cruiser.
