The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has broken its silence on the mounting allegations of maladministration of justice against Justice Kenan Manda. The MLS has now urged the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to act swiftly and transparently in addressing the concerns raised. “We call on the JSC to handle these allegations with the urgency and openness they demand, as public trust in the judiciary is at stake,” the statement read.
Furthermore, the society has called for immediate legislative action, emphasizing the need to expedite the passing of Judicial Reform Bills. These bills, the MLS argues, would establish clearer accountability mechanisms for judges, ensuring greater transparency and integrity within the judiciary.
