Silver Strikers FC said they will not release head coach Peter Mponda to Malawi National Football Team after the Football Association Of Malawi appointed him without consultations.
In an interview with Club’s Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba who is in America for studies said the Malawi’s Football governing body did not approach them as Mponda has a running contract with the club.
Thereby Silver Strikers says they will not let Mponda to join Pasuwa as Flames’ caretaker coaches.
This comes after FAM released a statement yesterday indicating that Mponda has been appointed as first assistant to coach Kalisto Pasuwa with immediate effect.
