Political activist Bon Kalindo, has blasted service providers in Malawi such as TNM, Airtel, Banks and Water Boards for no welfare of customers at heart.

Kalindo said these service providers are not in the country to serve the people but to milk the people who already are paying more to get their services which are also poor.

He has asked service providers that if they are tired of working in Malawi, they better pack up their goods to go to other countries where they will be stealing from customers saying Malawians are sick and tired to have them in the country.FCB Bullets Clinch Third Airtel Top 8 Title as Usi Rallies Youth

Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said Airtel and TNM have adjusted upwards prices of data bundles without public notice describing this as taking Malawians for granted.

Kalindo said Malawians across the country are complaining of data bundles for example a bundle K1,750 is now at K2,000 saying as President of the poor people, he can not sit down and watch this, there will be demonstrations against service providers soon.

He has accused the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) of watching Malawians suffering abuses from mobile phone companies advising it why not advertising for other mobile phone companies to come into the country for business?

“The situation is also the same with banks where they are full of customers for various services but one teller is serving customers,” he said.

The Activist said Malawi is a very shameful country, beside service providers there, some people are taking three weeks with dry water pipes, ESCOM officials charging customers to fix the wires, every two kilometers traffic police or Road Traffic Officers checking vehicles saying all these are being made without shame.

In the audio clip, Kalindo has pumped sense to government that almost all Malawians are aware that the country’s economy is not all that good, there are companies which posts billions of Kwachas profit every year such Nico, Old Mutual, Prime Insurance, advising government to make use of these companies to grade and tarmac some of the roads in Malawi.WHO Warns of Rapid Rise in Antibiotic-Resistant Gonorrhoea: New Data Shows Global Threat Growing

He said for the Lake Shore road, they can give it to Illovo Dwangwa and Salima sugar to work on this road and give them company names saying in this way, government will save trillions of Kwachas to be used for other equally important projects across the country.
