Pa chichewa Pali mawu ” mwana wa mbuzi anaonela kwamake ukodzela mkhola”
In a time when the people of Malawi hoped for progress, we find ourselves in a place of broken promises and deepening poverty.
The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) rose to power with grand visions, pledging affordable essentials, a lowered cost of living, and a life of dignity for all Malawians.
Yet here we stand, with unfulfilled promises at every turn. “A promise is like a fertile garden; it must be tended, or it yields only weeds.
[penci_ads id=”penci_ads_1″]“Today, we see our neighbors growing stronger despite global challenges. Yet MCP claims that the high price of fertilizer is due to the war in Ukraine. Tanzania, Zambia, and other nations nearby continue to thrive, finding ways to support their people.
Tikunena pano tiri munyengo ya mvula koma feteleza wakwela chimodzimodzi chitsulo cha ndege nanga mukuti kwenikweni ife amphawi tigwire mtengo wanji ,have you thrown us to the dogs?
“When a house falls, it is not the distant mountain but the rotten wood within.
” If our neighbor countries can adapt, why are we stuck? This excuse only shows that, for Malawi, the real problem lies within. The Bitter Reality of Broken Promises.
“A bird that feasts in the morning has no worries at night,” yet here we are, worried, anxious, and betrayed. MCP told us that fertilizer would be affordable, that a 50 kg bag would cost only 4,000 Kwacha.
Now, we face the bitter truth of paying 150 ,000 Kwacha for the same bag, a price which is the poor cannot even dream of affording.
“Words are but the wind; it is action that feeds the hungry.” But MCP’s words have remained as empty as a dry riverbed, leaving Malawians to suffer.
In our neighboring countries, farmers can access fertilizers and essential resources at fair prices.
“A clever person avoids the thorns, but we are pricked at every step.” Our government fails to clear the thorns from our path, making excuses instead of solutions, while we hard-working people in this country are left struggling under their watch.
I call this tenure of Malawi congress party return a Wasted years which has grilled us malawians into an oven these has been years of stagnation the system of corruption in the government right from the head to the toe is the root cause of our sufferings as the country.
We Malawians are carrying a burden too heavy, loaded with empty promises and deepening poverty.
Instead of becoming a land of opportunity, our country has been left to languish. “A leader is a shelter in a storm,” yet we have found no refuge in this leadership.
We look around and see nations on our borders striving forward, weathering the same storms that we face. “The river does not blame the stone for its flow.” The truth is, the war in Ukraine does not control Malawi’s destiny—our leaders do. And if MCP cannot find solutions, then it is clear they have lost their way.
Each promise they made was like “a rope of sand, easily broken,” and now we find ourselves clutching at nothing.
The solution we have as the country is to remove the MCP government we come forward and take the lead for ourselves.
The pain of broken promises is compelling me to join the race for presidency of our republic.
I cannot watch as Malawians struggle to put food on their tables because the cost of fertilizer makes even growing food a distant dream.
I have a better plan—a real plan for affordable fertilizer that can help every farmer in Malawi, bringing down costs and bringing up our livelihoods.
Yet, “a hunter does not reveal all his secrets,”mayeso sawuzilana and I cannot lay out every detail here.
True solutions are shown through action, not empty speeches.
I say this to my fellow Malawians: we must not let ourselves be deceived again.
Let us not be “the lamb that returns to the slaughterhouse.” Let us rise together and reject a government that has shown itself incapable of keeping its promises.
We will remove MCP from power, and with your support, I, Comrade Jumbe, will work alongside you to rebuild our nation.
