Flames Touch Down in Ivory Coast Ahead of AFCON Qualifier

The Malawi national football team, the Flames, has arrived in Ivory Coast for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Burundi.

Top players Gabadinho Mhango, Richard Mbulu, Lloyd Njaliwa, and Patrick Mwaungulu have joined the squad, merging with local-based players for the crucial encounter.

Burundi has chosen to play the match at a neutral venue due to the suspension of their home stadium by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

With the 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign heating up, the Flames will look to secure a vital win against Burundi to revive their chances of reaching the tournament.
