The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has officially announced the commencement of Phase 3 of voter registration, following the conclusion of Phase 2. The Commission has also confirmed that it is in the process of reviewing Phase 2 and will provide additional guidance as necessary.

Phase 3 of voter registration will proceed as planned, starting from Thursday, 28 November to Wednesday, 11 December 2024. This phase will cover the following districts:

Mzimba

Lilongwe Rural

Lilongwe City

Mangochi

Mangochi Municipality

Mwanza

Chikwawa

Nsanje

The MEC has emphasized the importance of all eligible voters in these areas to participate in the registration process. This is a crucial step towards ensuring that the voter rolls are up to date and that every eligible voter has the opportunity to vote in the upcoming elections.
