In every democracy, the power of the people lies in their collective voice.

Protests are not chaos—they are the pulse of a nation striving for accountability, justice, and progress.

“If the people lead, the leaders will follow.” Leaders must not forget they owe their power to the people.

Our tradition says When the wind blows, even the strongest tree bends.” Demonstrations force governments to listen to demands for change.

The Malawi Congress Party, now in power, need not to be reminded that they rose to power as the results of similar protests.

Leaders must know that any efforts to silence the people is an effort to suffocate democracy.

Let tomorrow’s demonstrations be a powerful call for:

1. President Chakwera’s resignation with his government they all have failed
2. An overhaul of MEC and NRB to restore electoral integrity.
3. Transparent voter registration to uphold democratic fairness.

It say A river does not cut through rock because of its power, but because of its persistence.” Let our persistence on the streets remind leaders: We demand a democracy for the people, by the people.

The fight is for the future of Malawi—peacefully but determinedly. Let the streets echo with the resolve for justice.
