Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, leader of the United Transformation Movement (UTM), has expressed disappointment with President Lazarus Chakwera’s recent address to the nation.
Kabambe argued that the President’s speech lacked concrete solutions to the country’s problems, instead leaving Malawians with more questions than answers.
Speaking during the press briefing at UTM’s Headquarters in Lilongwe, Kabambe criticized President Chakwera’s handling of security concerns, citing the recent appointment of a new police chief.
He argued that the President should have instead taken action against those responsible for the country’s security challenges.
He also questioned the President’s decision to retain certain officials, such as the Inspector General of Police, Merlyne Yolamu, and the Minister of Defence, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma.
Kabambe emphasized that Malawians are struggling with economic hardships, including rising prices, low wages, and unemployment.
Again, he argued that President Chakwera’s leadership has failed to address these challenges, instead leaving Malawians to suffer.
Kabambe urged the President to take responsibility for the country’s problems and to work towards finding solutions.
As the leader of the UTM, Kabambe has outlined his vision for Malawi, which includes addressing the country’s economic challenges, improving security, and promoting accountability.
He has also emphasized the need for leadership that prioritizes the needs of Malawians
