Truth be told.
Good morning, Rick Dzida and Steve.
Thank you for engaging with the exclusive interview I conducted with Rick Dzida. I appreciate the time and thought you’ve given to analyzing the content and its implications. It’s feedback like yours that enriches the conversations sparked by such interviews.
Steve began by expressing his gratitude for the interview, noting that the questions covered a broad range of issues that needed clarity. However, he raised serious concerns regarding the answer provided to Question 4. In his words:
“The interviewer has let me and others, I believe, down and feel betrayed. The question needed further probing.”
This critique highlights a gap in the depth of exploration for this specific question. Steve’s expectation of more thorough follow-up questions underscores the importance of delving deeper into controversial or complex topics to ensure all aspects are addressed.
Steve did not shy away from pointing out his perception of bias, stating:
“It is evident that BM is a well-known DPP sympathizer, a cadet. (He may get angry at this, but it is what it is.)”
This assertion speaks to the challenge journalists face in navigating perceptions of political alignment. However, Steve also acknowledged a positive shift in my writing over time, noting:
“With time, maturity has set in, as these days the bias in his articles towards always at DPP is slowly improving and fading. These days he is able to give us balanced articles.”
This recognition of growth and balance is a testament to the ongoing effort to present fair and impartial perspectives, even amidst political complexities.
Despite his critique, Steve praised my writing abilities, albeit with a playful remark about temper management:
“He is a good writer, of course, with a temper that needs to be checked.”
Ending on a light-hearted note, Steve humorously requested my older Lenovo 64GB device as a Christmas gift should I upgrade to a new 128GB one.
“Once again, thanks both Rick and Burnett. Much love.”
Steve’s response is a valuable reminder of the importance of critical feedback in journalism. It encourages me to strive for deeper inquiry and fairness in my work. While I acknowledge the critique, I am also grateful for the recognition of growth and balance in my recent writings.
To Steve, Rick, and all readers: thank you for your continued engagement and support. Constructive dialogue such as this helps shape better journalism for all.
Much love, and Merry Christmas in advance, Steve—your humor is duly noted!
