Hon Noel Lipipa MP writes :
There’s a growing global trend: voters disillusioned with underperforming incumbents and wary of untested newcomers are turning back to leaders with proven track records. This isn’t just a local shift; it’s a global wave.
• In Ghana, voters made headlines by reinstating John Dramani Mahama, a former president they once voted out, signaling their dissatisfaction with the current leadership.
• In Zambia, polls showed overwhelming support for Edgar Lungu, though court decisions prevented him from running, leaving the people’s will frustrated.
• In the United States, Donald Trump has emerged as a favorite over Kamala Harris, highlighting a desire for tested leadership even in one of the world’s most advanced democracies.
This global sentiment reflects a priority for reliability and proven results over untested promises.

Malawians, like their counterparts in Ghana and America, have felt the sting of broken promises and the uncertainty of political experiments. They are recognizing the need for a leader who delivers.

During his tenure, Malawi saw steady progress and stability. While no leader is without flaws, many Malawians now appreciate his leadership, particularly in comparison to the struggles under the current administration.

Malawi is poised to join the global movement of returning to trusted leadership. Like Ghana and America, Malawians are making a clear statement: “We value performance over promises and results over rhetoric.”

It’s a calculated decision for stability, competence, and progress grounded in real achievements.
The world is watching. Malawi is ready to follow the global trend, and with APM at the helm, the future looks brighter.
