Ben Longwe advises Chihana to take plus one vote to the South

By Vincent Gunde

Human Rights Advocator Sir Charles Ben Longwe, has advised AFORD President Enock Kamzingeni Chihana and his Vice Timothy Pagonachi Mtambo to take plus one votes to the South to work with them and not the central region.

Ben Longwe has observed that the way the country has reached today, even Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika decides not to stand for the 16th September, 2025 General Elections, Malawians cannot vote for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to bounce back.

He said Malawi has reached a stage that if Ras David Chikomeni Chirwa can stand up to tell the people that he is the Messiah to liberate the country from the shackles of pain and sufferings under the MCP and President Chakwera, he can become President of the Republic of Malawi.

Speaking through an audio clip, Ben Longwe said he is all aware that the MCP government will be after him for telling Malawians the truth that he will be hunted and even killed but the people of the North must take plus one votes to the south to work with them not the MCP.

Ben Longwe said it is a disputable fact that Malawians are sailing through pain and sufferings in their everyday life situations claiming that almost the entire 20 million population of Malawi is angry and disappointed with President Chakwera for his leadership failure.

He said Malawi is being ruled by a dictator who cannot listen to the cries of the citizens observing that his ears are deaf, the country is being run as if there’s no President with many regretting to have voted for Chakwera into government in June, 2020.

“Malawians are in pain and suffering, even Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika decides today that he will not stand, MCP cannot win,” said Ben Longwe.

He has described the statement made by MCP Publicity Secretary Dr. Jessie Kabwila that the party will report the DPP to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for abusing Professor Mutharika as very funny coming from a top party official and a cabinet Minister.

Ben Longwe said the Malawi Constitution has no clause for age limit advising Jessie Kabwila and the MCP that as long as he is alive, he will accompany them to the ICC to present his arguments there describing the motive behind as too late.

He has advised Malawians not to be shaken with what Kabwila and the MCP are planning saying these are kicks of a dying horse, they are now aware that Malawians are not on their side even if they can distribute K2000s to each one of the country’s citizens, no vote to the MCP.

Longwe has finally said there is disaster in MCP minus the party’s Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda describing him as a hard worker besides receiving insults and castigations as the country’s Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio and if MCP is going to have 3 or 4 MPs in Parliament, it will be through his hard-working spirit .
