A newly constructed school block at Kaswiti Primary School in Mzimba, initiated by the Citizen Impact Organisation (CIO), is now complete and ready to be handed over to the community.
This project was made possible through a partnership between CIO and the Technical Entrepreneurial and Vocational Training Authority (TEVETA), with support from several other partners.
The project required a memorandum of understanding which was signed between CIO, TEVETA, the education authority, and community leaders.
CIO’s Executive Director, Chimwemwe Banda, expressed gratitude to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Catherine Gotani Hara, and Alliance One for their assistance in completing the project.
“This development is a significant milestone in addressing the infrastructure challenges faced by Kaswiti Primary School,” said Banda.
The new school block will provide a conducive teaching and learning environment for over 500 learners at Kaswiti Primary School, located in Elton Chimaliro Village, Mzimba North.
