Jumbe describes Chakwera’s SONA a theatre of deception

By Vincent Gunde

President of Chilungamo Party Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, says the State of the National Address (SONA) that Malawians witnessed, was nothing but a theatre of deception claiming that the president stood before his people and delivers a speech filled with half-truth, empty promises and outright lies defining himself as a leader who has lost direction.

Comrade Jumbe has claimed that this was the worst SONA in Malawi’s history- a mockery of governance, a waste of national resources, and an insult to the intelligence of every Malawian saying Malawians were expecting that the President will address short-term solutions to their sufferings.

He says it was sad to see the President standing on that podium and declared that he has completed housing projects in Nsanje but Malawians on the ground see no house-only foundation of broken promises.

Writing on his official face book page, Comrade Jumbe says President Chakwera is boasting about opening an Embassy in Israel wondering who has cursed this nation observing that a leader who celebrates Embassies while his people are starving is like a farmer who rejoices in buying an expensive hat while his crops wither in the field.

Comrade Jumbe says the SONA was saltless, a speech without substance, a gathering without purpose saying even those who sat and listened to it must have wondered if their time had been stolen from them.

“This MCP government is like a man who walks naked in the streets yet insisting he is wearing the finest suit –a delusion that the rest of Malawians are no longer willing to entertain,” reads Alhaji Jumbe’s writing on the wall.

Comrade Jumbe has questioned President Chakwera on his role as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces in Malawi advising Malawians that if President Chakwera cannot bring answers on the tragedy of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, what good reason do Malawians have to keep him in power?

He says Malawians chance is coming on the 16th September, 2025 General Elections saying this will not be just another political event, the ballot is the peoples’ weapon of change advising Malawians that if they make a mistake of keeping President Chakwera, they will have no one to blame, but themselves.

The President has urged Malawians to always remember that a leader who lies today will lie again tomorrow and a government that has failed today will fall again tomorrow saying the choice remains with Malawians and they will be judged by the decision they take.

Comrade Jumbe has finally urged all patriotic Malawians to rise, choose wisely and reclaim their nation from the hands of those who have betrayed it.
