Lilongwe Vendors Chairperson advises Kabambe on political coalitions

By Burnett Munthali

The Lilongwe vendors chairperson, Raphael Tsabola, has urged UTM presidential candidate Dalitso Kabambe to welcome political coalitions while rejecting any offers to be a running mate.

Tsabola made these remarks during a political rally held at Mgona in Lilongwe on Sunday.

He expressed his strong belief that Kabambe has the capability to win the presidency with a landslide victory, even under the 50+1 electoral system.

According to Tsabola, Kabambe’s leadership qualities and economic expertise make him a formidable candidate in the upcoming elections.

His sentiments were echoed by UTM Director for Women, Mandambwe, who reinforced the call for Kabambe to remain steadfast in his presidential bid.

Mandambwe highlighted that Kabambe possesses the necessary skills and vision to restore Malawi’s economic strength.

She emphasized that his leadership could bring back the lost glory of the country’s economy, which many Malawians are longing for.

The rally also saw the unveiling of a high-profile defection from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Chisomo Nkhata was officially introduced as a new member of UTM after switching allegiance from DPP.

His defection was met with excitement from UTM supporters, who see it as a sign of the party’s growing influence.

The event in Mgona underscored the momentum that Kabambe’s campaign is gaining as the elections draw closer.

With growing support and endorsements, Kabambe’s position in the political race continues to strengthen.

As the political landscape evolves, Kabambe’s response to coalition offers and his strategy for securing victory will be closely watched.
