The Malaw Congress Party (MCP) may think that by using state machinery to silence political opponents, they are strengthening their grip on power. But let them be warned—history has never been kind to oppressors.
The unjust arrest of Allfred Gangata is a desperate move by a government that has already lost the trust of its people.
If MCP believes that persecuting its opponents will help them win the September elections, then they are not just mistaken—they are digging their own political grave.
Why Now? The People See Through the Lies
Allfred Gangata has been a free man, operating in Malawi without issue.
Why is he being arrested today, immediately after expressing his desire to participate in our democracy?
Fake certificate or no fake certificate but why only today as Gangata has shown pulling crowd than tianthu ta chimwendo ta pa computer we are watching your every single step .
Why arresting him only today the answer is clear—MCP is afraid. They know their time is up, and they believe that by eliminating strong opponents, they can extend their reign. But the elders tell us, “A man who runs from the sun will still be burned by its heat.”
No amount of political trickery can save them from the judgment of the people.
Let us remind MCP of a simple truth: power is not kept by force, intimidation, or oppression. Power is given by the people—and once the people take it back, no amount of arrests will save a failing government.
MCP Has No Moral Authority to Govern
Malawi’s democracy was not given to us as a favor—it was fought for, bled for, and earned through struggle. Today, MCP is once again violating that hard-earned freedom.
Let the truth be spoken: if justice were truly served in this country, it is not Gangata who would be in prison, but MCP itself.
This is a party which is filled with bloodshed, suffering, and abuse of power. If any party deserves to be dissolved and permanently banned from Malawi’s political space, it is MCP.

How can a party such as mcp claim to lead a democratic nation?
The blood of innocent Malawians still cries from the ground, and yet they continue their legacy of oppression. This time, the people will not watch silently.
A Warning to MCP: The People Will Decide
We have seen oppressive regimes fall before, and MCP will be no exception we will send it back to where it belongs thats political grave.
No government that fights its own people can stand forever. “When a bird builds its nest with stolen feathers, the wind will soon strip it bare.”
The people of Malawi demand the immediate and unconditional release of Allfred Gangata.
This is not a request; it is a warning. Every moment Gangata remains behind bars is another nail in MCP’s political coffin.
The more they fight against the people, the harder they will fall.
Let it be clear: we refuse to allow a party with blood on its hands to lead our nation any further.
MCP’s days are numbered, and the people will soon make their voices heard. September is coming, and no amount of arrests will stop the tide of change the change is coming tomorrow.
Free Allfred Gangata now, or face the judgment of the people!
