Former President of the Republic of Malawi and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, has claimed that his prophecy he made in 2018 at the Livingstonia CCAP Synod in Mzuzu that if Malawi is not careful, evil will one -day rule the country, has come to pass.
Mutharika said Malawians are living in pain and sufferings in their own country and have no hope for a better tomorrow under the leadership of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP, nothing is moving and the country has no direction to take.
He said Malawians are living like slaves in their own country, they are being intimidated, threatened, tortured, hacked and arrested for no cause for the sin that they are members of the opposition parties, to be specific-DPP.
Speaking during a food distribution program during the month of Ramadhan in Mangochi to the Moslem community, Mutharika said he was shocked to read media reports that Malawi is lying number 4 of the countries that its people are quiet and suffering in silence.
Mutharika assured people in Mangochi and the country as a whole that he and the DPP are ready to liberate the country from the shackles of the MCP dictatorship advising the MCP to stop forthwith arresting DPP members for no justifiable reasons.
He claimed that in June, 2020 he accepted useless that Government was snatched and stolen from his hands saying he did not want war in Malawi, he accepted defeat honorably although painful in his heart and not this time.
The former President assured Malawians that with the way people are living and crying for proven leadership in the country, If the MCP rig the 16th September, 2025 General Elections, he will not stay quiet as he did in 2020, he will stand up and fight back.
“I know that they are torturing Malawians, intimidating, threatening, hacking and arresting DPP members for no reasons to frustrate Malawians for war in the country to cancel the elections, this won’t be acceptable,” said Mutharika.
Professor Mutharika finally urged the Moslems community in the country that as they are praying and thanking God for giving them life, they should also pray for the country and free 16th September, 2025 elections so that those that are planning evil should allow Malawians to choose and elect a leader of their choice.
